MCQueen at the petrol station

3D MODDELLING AND LOOK DEV

DESCRIPTION

Commissioned work to create an image in black and white of a Ford Mustang in front of a petrol station. The end-goal was to print it on a big piece of glass in order to decorate a wall in the commissioner's billiard room.

For this work, I re-used a scene I once created (from scratch) of the Flo's V8 Cafe from the animation movie "Cars" as the petrol station. As this project was from 2017, I re-textured all of the assets, redid the lighting and also added / switched a couple of assets. Finally, the model used is from Wire Wheels Club (highly detailed 3D car models!) : https://wirewheelsclub.com/models/1965-ford-mustang-fastback/

DESCRIPTION

A group of some classic ‘Lego SpaceMan’ minifigures. The geometry was exported from Lego Digital Designer through Studio to Maya (Collada file format). So, this was a little exercise on texturing with Maya, based on Pantone colors and rendered with Arnold.

DESCRIPTION

I created a 3D moon with the "CGI Moon Kit" which was officially released by NASA to the public and thus all CG artists. The little kit consists of a diffuse and a displacement map. I plan to experiment with the image more in the future [WIP]. I took a real picture of the moon from the internet and used it as reference. Rendered in Maya with Arnold. A tactical mask, inspired by Bane's Mask from Batman. Modeling was done in 3dsMax, unwrapping and rendering in Maya (with Arnold) and texturing in Substance Painter.

MY GRANNY

HAIR SIM AND LOOK DEV

Description

I decided to texture my sculpt from last year of my own grandmother. Back then, I tried to go with a more Roman/Greek style of sculpture since this was my first finished bust sculpt for the 1st milestone assignment of Character Creation. Fast forward to 2018, I tried to make my original sculpt as realistic as possible by texturing and adding hair. It is not on the level of photorealism yet, but it is my first step forward on working with the updated arnold shaders, xgen, fibermesh, nHair and finally nCloth for the background.

A small scene to render a coffee table, I had originally made for the previous scene, in a daylight interior along with some material test renders. I have designed the table myself with some inspiration from other (existing) coffee tables. All models were modeled, textured and unwrapped by me. All was done from scratch and rendered in Arnold (Maya).
